Access Control

Access control installation in Hertfordshire & Essex

We install access control and door entry systems for commercial premises, blocks and private properties across Hertfordshire and Essex: from a single keypad on a back door to a fully managed multi-door system with fobs and audit trails.

What's included

  • 01Door entry systems
  • 02Keypad access
  • 03Card & fob systems
  • 04Secure entry solutions
  • 05Commercial access management

Control who goes where

Keys get copied, lost and never returned. Access control replaces them with fobs, cards or codes you can cancel in seconds. Lose a fob, delete it from the system: no locksmith, no re-keying the building.

On multi-door systems you can also control who gets access to which doors and at what times, so a cleaner has access to the areas they need during the hours they work and nothing more.

Video door entry

Video door entry lets you see and speak to whoever is at the door before letting them in, from a handset inside or from your phone. For gated properties we install entrance intercoms with integrated cameras and keypad access.

Maglocks and fire exits

Magnetic locks hold doors securely but must release on a fire alarm activation or a break-glass unit. We wire maglocks correctly into the fire system so a secured door never becomes a trapped occupant.

Process

How it works

Five steps from first call to handover. No stage of it is subcontracted.

  1. 01

    Site visit

We look at the doors, existing hardware and how the building is used.

  2. 02

    System design

Standalone or networked, with the right lock type for each door.

  3. 03

    Installation

Including correct fire-alarm interfacing on any secured escape route.

  4. 04

    Set-up

Users, fobs and permissions configured, and staff shown how to manage them.

  5. 05

    Support

Adding and removing users later is straightforward, and we are on the end of the phone.

What does it cost?

A single door with a keypad or fob reader is a modest job. Networked multi-door systems with software management cost more but scale well. Price depends on door count, lock type and whether fire-alarm interfacing is needed. Free site visit and quote.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What happens to the doors if the fire alarm goes off?
Any maglock on an escape route is wired to release automatically on fire alarm activation, and a break-glass unit is fitted alongside. This is a safety requirement, not an optional extra.
Can I remove access for someone who has left?
Yes, in seconds. Delete the fob or card from the system and it stops working immediately: no need to change locks.
Can access control work with my existing door?
Usually. The lock type depends on the door: maglocks, strike locks or electric latches all suit different situations. We assess this on the site visit.
Do you install door entry for flats?
Yes. Audio and video door entry for blocks and converted properties, with handsets in each flat or app-based answering.
Can I see who has come and gone?
Networked systems log entries by user and time, which is useful for commercial premises. Standalone keypads do not; we will explain the difference when we quote.
